FAQs About Cabinet Coolers
What Does a Cabinet Cooler Do?
A cabinet cooler enhances the passive convection of a cabinet – that is, the natural cooling airflow past heat-generating electrical components – with the forced convection of a fan or blower. If you have electrical equipment that tends to overheat in a cabinet in your building, a cabinet cooler can be a great solution.
How Long Should a Cabinet Cooler Last?
If properly maintained, our cabinet coolers should last for upward of 20 years of service, which might outlast your equipment! The fans in our units typically last between 7 and 10 years, but will get noisy before then, which is a good time to replace them.
What Is the Difference Between a Cabinet Cooler Fan and an Enclosure Air Conditioner?
A cabinet cooler fan doesn’t feature the extra cooling of a full air-conditioning system, but is plenty if you have a cabinet with milder cooling needs. A cabinet cooler is also much cheaper than an enclosure air conditioner, so if you don’t need a full A/C system, a fan is a better choice.
