FAQs About Condensing Units
What does a condenser do?
A condenser unit can be thought of as the heart of a full air conditioner system, since it’s the part that actually transfers heat from the inside of the building out, or the outside in, depending on the time of year. Condensers generally work by removing heat from a gas or vapor, which causes the gas to condense into a liquid form. Almost all condensers include metal tubing to allow the gas to spread out and cool, and some include fins attached to that tubing, or even fans to further speed up the conduction of heat away from the gas.
Why do I need an explosion-proof condenser?
In hazardous environments, like offshore drilling rigs, heavy manufacturing plants, and others, there can be a real danger of explosions originating in air conditioning equipment, due to the HVAC system’s access to every part of the operation. To keep your employees, equipment, and investment safe, a certified explosion-proof condenser is a necessity.
Condensers from Safe Air Technology have been designed by our professional engineering staff to be fully certified and compliant to the NEC and IEC codes related to NFPA 70 Article 500–505 for Hazardous Environments.
What Makes Safe Air Technology’s Condensing Units Different?
