Cullen Domangue

Cullen Domangue has been part of the Safe Air Technology team since graduating from college, starting his career as an Electrical Engineer and growing into his current role as Director of Engineering. His early experience at the company came from working hands-on with HVAC units, giving him a practical understanding of system performance and safety in real-world applications. This foundation led him to develop a deep understanding in designing explosion-proof HVAC systems and to develop a non-incendive electronic controller for the company’s smaller unit product lines.

To further enhance his engineering capabilities, Cullen expanded his skill set by learning to program PLC and HMI systems, gaining expertise in automation and control systems. This allowed him to design and implement more sophisticated, reliable, and user-friendly HVAC solutions tailored to customer needs.

In addition to his industry work, Cullen spent time in the academic sector while continuing his role with Safe Air Technology.  He focused on electronics design with a specialty in PCB engineering, firmware development for FPGA systems, and data acquisition software for experimental physics, including nuclear, high-energy, and space science. Some of his contributions include the commissioning of the sFGD Master Clock Board and design of the electronics test system for the DUNE experiment.

Known for his detail-oriented approach, Cullen is dedicated to designing HVAC systems that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. He focuses on delivering tailored solutions that meet each customer’s unique needs, ensuring dependable operation in even the most demanding environments.

Outside of work, Cullen enjoys life with his wife, Lori, and their adventurous one-year-old son—who keeps them both on their toes. When he manages some free time, you’ll often find him tinkering with electronics, experimenting with 3D printing projects, or working on woodworking builds in the garage. He and his wife also share a love for travel, especially taking trips to places they’ve never been before.
